Claude: No. We lost him to Paul History has shown that this was the correct thing to happen. But, I do have very fond memories of Mike and I spending the night in the girls dorm in NJ when my car died. We stayed in Dania's room. She had to hide us!

Claude: They were happier about it than I was. In fact, this is still the way it seems to me.

Claude: Carmen wasn't difficult. It was a challenge. Difficult... Can't think of any. Difficult songs get thrown away. We keep the ones that pass the easy test.

Claude: Tito is a dear friend to me, although we have not seen each other in over 13 years. He used to refer to me as "The Kid" when he spoke of me to others. Made me feel like Prince. I rather enjoyed that. Paul Boyd was great, Mike was awesome... Haven't kept in contact with them. Loved them both.

Claude: I consider it a song I wrote when the lyrics come out by themselves and magically appear in my books. Music first, or melodies, then words. Almost always. I wrote Carmen after I pulled over on the freeway. Had the whole thing, fast.

Claude: We did "Tainted Love", "Just Can't Get Enough", and "Close to Me" at our first show. The Cure song was the best. We never did them again. Later on we did a few Beatles and Joy Division / New Order songs. Not many.
